Welcome to the White Lodge Hotel, a small, friendly, family-run refurbished Victorian country house, situated only a short walk from Bowness Bay and the picturesque shores of Lake Windermere, England's largest and perhaps most beautiful lake. Awarded 4 prestigious 'Q' marks by the AA and 3 Crowns by the Tourist Board, all our spacious, well-furnished rooms are centrally heated, some have Lake views, four posters and all have ensuite bathrooms. All have colour televisions and complimentary tea-making facilities. Our high-quality home cooked cuisine, including traditional full English breakfast and catering for vegetarian and other diets, is served in the stylish dining room, with its fine antique furniture.
Surrounded by magnificent scenery in the heart of the English Lake District, Bowness On Windermere is the ideal centre for touring the whole area, and in minutes you can be sailing, exploring the lakeside footpaths or the nearby Fells, or visiting the homes of William Wordsworth, Ruskin, Coleridge and Beatrix Potter.

Bowness is easily reached from all parts of the UK via the M6 Motorway. It is only 4½ hours from London, 1½ hours from Manchester, 2 hours from Newcastle or 3½ hours from Edinburgh. Turn off at Exit 36 from the South and Exit 40 from the North.
